Commission policy and process

Here is an over view of the process for commissioning a digital painting. Airbrushed portraits are much easier because basically I take the picture you provide and I paint it. If you want something other than a portrait then we can discuss it. I will always do my best to please with out cutting either of us in the pocket and time.

Order and Opening Chat

The opening convesation is vital. To really get a feel for what you are wanting, I will ask you a lot of questions and I will make sure I give you an honest estimate.I will also ask for screenshots or other images. The more I have to work with the better the image you get.

Remember, that you are paying because you like my style of art. If the sketches that I present are not to your liking, I will let you know whether or not I can meet your expectations. If I can't I will do my best to direct you to someone that can best serve you.

Sketches and Down payment

Any larger commission will require concept sketches so you can change colors or other elements in the painting. I will go through a couple different sketches and we will converse back and forth. Once you have accepted the concept you pay half of the estimated price. This is non refundable. Should you not be able to afford the final piece or no longer wish the painting, I keep that money to compensate for my time.

I do keep in touch as often as I can, asking about more minute details so I don't have to rework. It keeps my frustration and prices down and your happiness up.

Final Painting and payment

As I get close to the end I will share so that you will really get to see what you are paying for and get some say in the final product. Such as you would like it brighter, darker, more vibrant or muted.

I am able to fix minor expressions and some colors. But the painting at this point are as done as I am going to do. So you can make the final payment and I will get the painting printed, signed and shipped to you.
