Commission Policies

Rosaline Terrill's Policy on Commissioned Art Work
 

I require an up front retainer of 50% of the total quoted cost of the completed artwork. This amount will be due upon approval of initial sketch of any design work.

The remaining 50% of the cost of the completed artwork, plus any shipping fees, are due upon receipt of the completed art work.

In the event that the completed artwork does not satisfy you, the following policy will apply:

• I keep the 50% retainer
• I keep the completed art work and reserve the right to sell it to another buyer.
• You do not owe the remaining 50%
   

I enjoy collaborating with clients to define key elements of a commissioned piece. However, I reserve the right to make all final decisions regarding inclusion or exclusion of elements, colors, etc.

However, be aware that the art making process typically goes through any number of ugly stages before it becomes a thing of beauty!

Images of your commissioned piece may be used in promotional materials by Rosaline Terrill or any of her aliases

​

No commissioned work created by Rosaline Terrill may be used for commercial purposes without Rosaline Terrill's express permission. A copywrite fee may be charged in addition to the commisioned art fee for work that is used for commercial purposes

​

I will retain your phone number and in the event of a show may call and request to borrow the piece back for a specified duration for the purposes of the show.

​

You have the right to decline to include the artwork in the show.

 

Other payment arrangements can be made with the agreement of the artist but no art will be released until paid in full.
